Parish Liturgical Ministry - Union in Communion
Liturgy in Music Ministry
Music is a large part of our worship and celebrations at St. Francis of Assisi Parish. We are always expanding our choir and seek cantors and choir members. Rehearsal is Wednesday from 6:30p to 8:00p, and the choir sings at the 10:00a Mass each Sunday from September through June. For more information, call Nadine Goodrich, (941) 697-4899 Ext. 7200 or send an email to email@example.com. All Masses are cantor led with piano/organist accompaniment.
Sacristans are responsible for assuring the proper treatment of the Holy Species, namely that of the Sacred Blood and Blessed Sacrament during and after the celebration. They are also responsible for keeping the Holy Tabernacle secure. Sacristans are responsible for Mass set up and clean up. Setup can vary slightly depending on the individual mass and presider. At every mass, they are responsible for setting up for both Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist which means preparing all the books, vessels, offertory, and incense when appropriate. Contact John Wandersee via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 941-567-7127.
Altar Servers assist Father at different Eucharistic liturgies such as Weekend Masses, funerals, and weddings. Boys and girls who have received their First Communion become eligible to participate. Contact Matt Egan via email at email@example.com or by phone at (215) 962-1942.
