Together with my Parish Finance Council, I present the Parish Financial Report for Saint Francis of Assisi Church. Thank you for all your faithful and generous support as our Parish continues to build the Kingdom of God in our community. As the Pastor, it is a blessing for me to serve you and I continue to pray for you for the sacrifices and stewardship of time, talent, and treasure.

Parish Financial Report

During the year, Saint Francis of Assisi Church received Total Cash Revenues of $ 984,448. Offertory and Special Donations (Assessable Income) totaled $713,427, which is 72% of Total Cash Revenues. The average weekly offertory collection, including Christmas and Easter, during the year was $12,267 per week, compared to $11,357 per week in fiscal year 2017.
Other Revenues (Non-Assessable), consisting of CFA, DOV Non Parochial (designated non-parish collections), Religious Education Ministry, and Liturgy Ministry income totaled $271,021, which is 28% of Total Cash Revenues.
Operating Expenditures totaled $ 944,268 compared to $933,910 in the previous fiscal year.

Our Catholic Faith Appeal (CFA) Assessment calculated on a calendar year basis (January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2017) was $161,000. Donations collected exceeded the Parish Assessment. Thank you for helping us meet our CFA GOAL. During the year, please use blue envelopes in the pews for Donations to our CFA. Our Parish CFA Assessment for January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018 is $163,000. Please help us meet our goal as we have the past four years.
The Parish Neighborhood Ministry is a new effort to reach the unchurched.
The Parish Catechetical Ministry has five components; Religious Education for Children; Religious Education of High School Youth to receive Confirmation; Preparation of Parents of Children to be Baptized; Religious Education for Adults (including the Respect for Human Life Ministry); and Preparation of Inquirers for Catholic Sacraments (RCIA). We provide certified teachers, materials such as Videos, Bibles and Catechisms, etc.
The Parish Liturgical Ministry (includes Church Music) requires Communion bread and Wine for 365 days a year; our new congregational Missals and choir sheet music; maintenance of audio, organ and piano, etc.
Our Parish Outreach Ministry for the needy received Contributions totaling $30,845 for the current fiscal year. Donations came from our Parishioners, Poor Box, Knights of Columbus/Auxiliary, Parish Women’s Guild, Foundations and Comps. This Parish Ministry incurred Expenses totaling $19,821 in 2017-2018 fiscal year, providing aid in the form of food, rent, utilities, medical, auto repairs, gas and other benefits. The Ministry for Homebound & Nursing Homes, Rosary Makers and Parish Bereavement Ministry are special components of Outreach.
Our Parish Women’s Guild Ministry includes both Spiritual and Social Ministry. The Parish Picnic, Volunteer Appreciation Brunch, Card Parties, Rummage Sale, Bingo, and Gift Shop are just a few of the good works for community building.
The Parish Administration includes Parish Office Staff – Business Manager, Administrative Assistant, Bookkeeper, Facilities Manager, and Custodial Staff. The expenses include non-personnel expenditures of the Parish Office, computer services and repair, phones, copiers, insurance, depreciation, taxes, and advertising, etc.
