RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

Life has many storms — distressful relationships, jobs, poor health, situations where we feel powerless. If you know someone unbaptized or baptized in a non-Catholic Christian tradition that is searching for strength and understanding to weather such squalls, invite them to seek the perspective the Catholic Church offers.

An invitation that never ends ...

  • Have you been worshiping with us but never officially taken the step to become Catholic?

  • Have you been away from the Church and have now returned but want to know more?

  • Have you been a Catholic all your life but never celebrated all the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist)?

  • Have you joined us from a different background and would like to learn more about the Catholic Church?

  • If you (or someone you know) answers YES to any of these questions, you are invited to find out more through a process called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).  It is a journey that begins with your questions. There is no obligation to join us as you discover more about your Catholic faith, and the decision is ultimately yours to discern if this is your spiritual home. The invitation is always open: RSVP when you are ready! On behalf of the Catholic faith community of the Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, we look forward to welcoming you.

More information ...

Our RCIA ministry meets in the Parish Center every Thursday, 5:00-6:30 pm, beginning October 21, 2021. The RCIA ministry is the process through which adults are received into the Catholic Church. It is for any adult interested in the Catholic faith and wants to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, or Confirmation. Be a friend and bring a loved one or neighbor to Christ thru the RCIA ministry. Our doors are open! Is God inviting you to join us? Contact our DRE, Jim Brantner, at the Parish Office.

Parish Website:

Our Parish Website at https://sfoachurch.com invites you to explore the spirit of our Parish. The website contains resources for you and your family to continue to learn about the Sacraments that are the heart of our faith.  It also includes information on our Parish Ministry that serves our community.  We hope that our website will enable you to grow closer to God and invite others to belong and participate in building the Kingdom of God in our midst. Please join us to Welcome, Worship, and Witness together.
